Report Card Day

It was report card day today! I went to collect my report card at about 9.00a.m. and guess what? I got no.5 in my class. Well, only the position is good but my total marks is only 759/1100 and my average is only 69.00. BM and Mandarin were the subjects that pulled me down. I got 49-D for my BM and 47-D for my Mandarin. =( :( I hope I can get better results in my final exam that is in October.

Anyway I decided to blog about this although it finish a few days back. Its the Wimbledon tennis Grand Slam I'am talking about. Rafael Nadal was the champion for the men singles -- a double joy for Spain after they won the EURO 2008. Nadal defeated the 5-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7 in was what the longest Wimbledon final match ever played. If I am not mistaken, it lasted for about 5-6 hours due to the rain at the starting and in the middle of the match. Both of the players could make history if they won this title - For Federer, if he wins this he will better Bjorn Borg's record of 5 straight Wimbledon titles by winning his 6th. As for Nadal, he could be the third man to win the Roland Garros (French Open) and the Wimbledon together in one season after Rod Laver and John McEnroe if I am not mistaken and Nadal could the only spanish man to win the Wimbledon title since 1964. I think. (can't really remember the details). Futhermore, in the women singles final, it was defending champion Venus Williams up against her younger sister and 2-time Wimbledon champion, Serena Williams. Well Venus beat Serena 7-5, 6-4 to take the women singles title. I will put in some pictures about the Wimbledon later.

The EURO Champs- Spain

Working on my Geografi project now. I hate projects!! And by the way, Spain won the EURO 2008. Yay!! Spain ROXX!! The game was scoreless at first until Torres broke the deadlock by a strike on the 33rd minute. The game was mostly dominated by Spain. Didn't know why Germany was so lousy on the final... they only got one shot on goal and Spain got about 10+. ^^

Besides that, there is also the tennis Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament now. The tournament had dozens of upsets especially with the fall of men singles 3rd seed Novak Djokovic and 6th seed Andy Roddick and women singles top seed Ana Ivanovic, 2nd seed Jelena Jankovic and 3rd seed Maria Sharapova and lots more... I will support 2nd seed Rafael Nadal (Spain) for the men singles and Zheng Jie (China), world ranked 133rd and the suprise semi-finalist for the women singles. I hope there will be lots more excitement in this tournament that will end on Sunday. :-)

Futhermore, the Beijing Olimpics is just about a month away. Can't wait for it. Hope Malaysia can finally bag a gold medal in the Olimpics. :):)
